The next time the phone rings it will start recording again without you doing a thing! It easily plugs into any vacant modular phone line jack, or it can share a phone line jack with an existing phone.

Phone Compatibility: As long as the cable stops outside your home, and all of your telephones and phone wall jacks use a standard analog phone cord - then you should have no problems at all. It will not work with Cable Modems directly connected to a computer or an Internet phone (VOIP).
